A MARATHON..
Truth be told, i'm still not over Anuar Zain's concert!.. :( i want MORE!... gosh.. i've got abt a week's worth of things to blog abt but no energy and time to do it...



so, let's juz blog abt one of the most amazing nites i had with Anuar Zain!.. hahahaha... it was "amazing" rite from the start!... i picked Ms Sinus up at 7.40pm and promised Win to meet us at 8.15pm at Esplanade. The show starts at 8.30pm!... i terribly underestimated the nite's traffic and ended up being at Nicoll Highway at nearly abt 8.10pm.. by then, there was still 10 lots avail at Esplanade's parking.. 200m after that first signboard, there were only 6 lots avail!...



when we reach Esplanade's parking at 8.15pm, we were not even allowed in coz it was FULL!.. so, had no choice but to park at One Fullerton.. by the time we had a parking lot it was already abt 8.20+ish!... in Amazing Race style, we dashed out of the car once my car was in the lot!...



and SPRINTED we did from one end of the bridge to the other in RECORD time!!!.... abt 50m-100m of it in my 3inch heels no less!.. hahahhaa... the rest was done barefooted style in front of the many ppl sitting or walking, enjoying the breeze/view!... kwang.. kwang.. kwang... but frankly, there's no time to think abt "saving face" coz u can be damn sure i dun wanna miss a thing song from the concert!!...



we reached Esplanade at abt 8.26pm - JUST at the nick of time!!!... we came in all breathless - only to find one of seats taken by this woman who, still doesn't think that she's in the wrong by the way!... Win overheard her grumbling to the hubby/bf that i was rude (juz coz i din say "excuse me"!) like hello?... u saw that i was already looking at u when i was coming in!... and i did say nicely to u... and how did u answer me? "Is it?" with a very aku-tak-puas-hati look!... pls lah!... use ur brains can?... the 3 of us came in together. dun tell me i bought 2 tix + 1 tix at another seat?!... wah lau eh!.... stupid woman!...



but niways, that incident din bother me one bit!... coz Anuar was there, belting his hits, singing his heart out albeit with a scatchy throat!... but he hit all notes almost perfectly!.. aaaaah!.... i love, lurve, love Uuuu Anuar Zain!!! :D it really din feel like 2hrs had passed by coz i can safely say, the whole theatre thirst for more!!!.... we din want it to end. and we din want him to go juz yet!!!..... but the thing that was lacking from the performance, was his interaction with the audience. It would have been nicer if he had interacted more with the audience. When he talk, i couldn't really make out what was it that he said... but like Ms Sinus said lah - if he talk more, less songs! so, oklah.. sing MORE plssssss!!! ;)



but LELAKI INI have to go.. the time was up!.. haaaizzz.... howell!.. as if the excitement of seeing him on stage and hearing him live wasn't enuff, we and a thousand over hormones raging girls/women/makcik alike - chased after Taufik for a pose or a snapshot.. he was very accommodating, i must say!... Win managed to get a pose with him.. i din want to - SHY mah!.. hahahaa... niways, i've already gotten a pic taken together with him - no need to chase him some more (although that was like wat? 3yrs ago?!).. hahahahaa...

all in all, the nite felt soooo surreal... the next time i attend his concert, i hope the 3 of us have enuff moolahs to get the most expensive tix and get front row seats no less!!!!!!..... he's totally worth it!!!!!..... betul! tak bedek!... i manage to voice record a few songs.. quality not that gd - wat with the screaming and we being at the 3rd level of the concert hall!... but enjoy them nonetheless! :)



oooooh!.... can i also wish a dear fren of mine our heartiest congrats!... dah kawen pun adik kiter nie satu!.. hehehe... :) she's already on her way or might've reached their honeymoon destination by now..

May you spend the rest of your days in each others arms, old and wrinkled - happily ever after..

And this was Eshan - being his fearless-self - wandering around the area and giving me this forced wink!.... gaaaaah!!....

now, he can...
- nod his head when he wants something
- Say "YUMMY! Yum! Yum!" when the food's good (god knows who taught him that!!)
- points out his eyes, mouth, tongue, ears, cheeks and nose correctly
- be very stubborn and purposely do something that he's not supposed to do juz to amuse himself!... grrrrrr!!

THE KEY TO OUR LOVE NEST

Dearest invited his sec sch frenz to our love nest on Sat.. and so, i fretted over what to cook since it's not a potluck session.. :( i chose the easy way out lah... my signature dish, NASI AYAM!... i knew i won't go very wrong with it!.. ahhahaa....


but of coz, i can't possibly juz serve that!... i scoured the net for Shepherd's Pie recipe and voila!..

luckily, it turned out A-OK!.. only thing, i prefer the potatoes to be softer and silkier.. hmmm... there's room for improvements! ;) i can't seem to find the original recipe now.. but if u wanna give it a try, u can get the recipe from my Multiply..


anyways, they were soooo totful as to give us a huge key as a prezzie... it was nicely done and i soooo like it!!!! but we dunno where to hang it!.. hahahaha....

thanks Mrs Bear for the work put in!... ;) She also later invited me to be in her Multiply network with a message attached..

yes!.. both mr and mrs was soooooo in lurve with our Dearest Eshan!... we can see!.. ;) hmmm.. niways, the tot of entering Eshan in baby contest have occured to my mind but never got round doing it!... sesape nak enter kan, silalah ye... hehehee...


to Mr & Mrs Bear, the newly weds, we hope u'll get your own SUPER cute, SUPER adorable, SUPER friendly Bear Jr of ur own next year! ;) we can't wait!!...


this is my baby at 17mths - giving me a half-smile.. :)

haiz.... he'll be 18mths come Hari Raya.. oh my!!.. time flies soooo damn fast!!.... 14days of fasting have just gone by without realising.. i've listed what goodies i wanna bake oredi.. whether or not they get baked.. hmmm... we'll see come 1st Oct! ehhehehe.... but i gotta start baking this weekend if i wanna finish on time!... and wat with the blardy small oven, i need to start freakin early if i intend to go Geylang to scour for our baju kurung! grrrr.....

LOVE NEST
Due to "popular demand", i've decided to take a few snapshots of our love nest for your viewing.. :)

when u first enter thru the front door, the first thing that'll greet u is the dining room..

my love-at-first-sight sofa.. only thing that's missing from the living room now is a carpet.. still haven't found a right one yet..

as u can see, from the dining to the living, it's an almost black/white concept..

next, u'll have to go thru the walkway to our rooms and we've called it our hall of fame walkway coz we displayed our graduation shots here.. hehehe...

Eshan's room is on the right, facing the common toilet while ours is at the end.. the mirror u see is actually a 2-way mirror.. ;)

when u enter our room, u'll first see our custom-make wardrobe cum wall feature in the supposed master room..

and yes.. fyi, the TV can be swivelled just like the TV in the living rm wall feature AND u dun see any wires sticking out! ;) juz next to it, is our study room which we converted to our bedroom..

the mattress is on a platform that is actually a storage space..

so there u have it! features of the house which i soooo lurve!... hehheee.... of course, i lurve wat the developers did to the bathrooms too but i can't seem to get a nice pix of them!... so, too bad lah!... :(

wokay!.. on to my weekend.. Daddy told us that he's got tix to watch the fireworks festival.. and so off we went, all the while praying that it won't rain!... but afterall that rushing here and there to the floating platform, the fireworks started freakin late and lasted only abt 15mins?!... grrrr!!!....

and so of course, i took shots of Eshan and ourselves while waiting.. hahaaha.. but no need to feature ALL lah.. this will do.. hehehe..

but i must say, it was a good 15mins! it was almost 3D like!... and boy was i glad Eshan din scream in fear throughout the show!.. i guess he must've been too sleepy to be bothered!.. hahahaha... :D i did take a video of part of the fireworks if u'd like to see..

we also manage to squeeze in to attend Dila's wedding before Dearest have to dash off for his reservist.. bcoz of that, we didn't manage to take pix with the bride and groom! :( but instead took a photo of this cutie pie! hehehhee...

but the wedding was beautiful!.. it was an almost all-white theme with feathers and silver bears.. they got live band singing traditional malay songs and dancers from PA too!... i LOVE it! :D well done, Dila!

and then on Mon, i went to welcome home the TS team...

where we're at, there wasn't much peeps - only kids!... but oklah.. had fun clapping and cheering at every hippo bus that came along!.. hahhahaa...

haizzz.. it's raining and it's lunchtime! how to go out?!!!!.....

WE GOT 5th!
and so, we got 5th in Butterfly Swimming (W)... oklah tu... who would've tot that we're NOT last?... considering her size and age?...

at home, the debate is still on between me and Dearest on "F/S/T/s" vs true-blue Singaporeans.. as much as i tried to convince him that some of these F/S/T/s are not "imported" and were trained and coached by OUR own coaches, he still felt otherwise...

howell!... the garbermen really have a long way to go to convince ppl like him that the F/S/T/s are one of us!... kwang.. kwang.. kwang..

anyways, a union took place on National Day (ND) itself - speaking of which, it's soooo weird how it never rain on ND?... it was raining sooooo heavily where we're at which is pretty near to the NDP venue but apparently, the show still went on and it didn't really rain as heavily there... so anyways, felt like a freak going there with my specs, slightly torn dress and bushy hair!

(i wanted to put up a pix of the family photo we took with the bride & groom, but decided not to bcoz i look like a freak!.. :p)

my eye was swollen at it's fullest!... the whole time, i felt like i strained it and only by closing my eyes did it felt comforting... haiiizzz... luckily yest, the swelling subsided.. but it's still itchy! :(

oh!... i had a 1-to-1 talk with our new boss and thankfully, we're on the same page in terms of work-life balance.. :D i did mention to him that i'm thinking of leaving and he accepted it graciously and offered to make life a lil bit more "exciting" for me... it's not really "excitement" that i'm looking for... it's the recognition and the moolahs that i'm after!!.... hehehhe...

so niways, we c how lah hor?... i need some form of motivation to come to work and WORK now, is NOT the motivation!... :(

one of those random "blonde" moments by Ani!.. hehehehe... a question she suddenly asked out of the blue at 11.35pm on Saturday nite!... her own answer?... "Orang Melayu..." all together now..

yah... i know... hahahhaa.... ;) anyways, the meet up with the gang was great!.. i lurrrrve the food.. i dun think Ms Sinus did though!.. hehehehe.... went to Eatzi Gourmet @ Yishun Safra after salivating over pictures on Kak Yani's website!...

i had salmon and boneless chicken... YUMMMMEH!!.... i lurve that saltish thingie on top of the potato... their serving is humongous... was very full after the meal.. and i'll definitely go there again!!.... hahaha...

Ilhan met Eshan but Ilhan seemed shy.. for god knows why?!... nvm eh boy.. still got time.. as long as u don't hit my child on his head again, we're cool!... ;) thanks to these peeps for taking care of Eshan while Dearest & I devoured and enjoyed every single piece of edible food on our hotplate minus the chicken skin..

Eshan went for his 5mth jab and thank god he didn't get fever after the jab.. i think it's coz he got to sleep soundly after his jab... normally, we will be out window shopping!... hehehee... not cranky at all.. so thank god!!.... al-hamdulillah...

anyways, to show to us that he wasn't weak at all.... take a look at this pic..

if u still can't see what i see, it's ok.. it's actually normal.. coz both Dearest and my brother couldn't see it until i point it out... so here goes...

sesungguhnya anak aku gagah... hahahaha... we don't understand how on earth he manage to pull the body out of it's "sockets"!.... and it actually looked soooo eerie seeing a dangling head on top of his playpen!...

oh!... did u see how we've cushioned his playpen all around??... he knocked himself on the eye while rolling abt... it must've been pretty hard coz he cried out in pain and his right eye was red and a lil bit swollen with a bit of scar.. sheesh... tat got Dearest to cushion the playpen rite away... should've immediately done tat when he knocked himself once before.. kwang.. kwang.. kwang..

since i'm in a bake-muffins mode, over the weekend, i manage to bake not one, not two but three types of muffins!... they're filled with chocolate but with different fruits... but they're all different recipes from different sources..

oh!.. trust me.. when u see the original "creators", u'd be just as tempted to try out them recipes!

i like the Strawberry combi the best though i can't taste the white chocs.. the strawberry was a bit too much too... must reduce a bit lah... I dun like dark choc but the combi with orange was nice.. though i would change it to semi-sweet choc chips next time!.. ;) the banana choco muffin on the other hand was pretty banana-like.. i dun like how it turned out all dark and soooo unappetising looking.. but it's actually nice lah... the family savoured all of them muffins in one nite!...

SNEAK PEAK..
I was a busy, busy bee over the weekend!!! did our packing the whole day on Sat!... well, basically Dearest did MOST of the packing.. i was actually taking my time when i did the packing myself in the morning.. packed and watched tv at the same time - how to finish?... hehehee.....

anyways, the house is in a MESS!... boxes, clothes, junk and wat-have-yous - ALL over the tiny house!.... i do wonder how we'll ever finish packing by this Sunday!.... oh!... and because of all these packing, my legs has grown to a size of a small tree trunk!... :(

As if the huge legs are not taunting me enuff!... ppl around me were taunting me for my growing nose too!... :( sungguh depressing!!.....

After all that packing, we went to see my first niece (maternal side).. she's sooooo cuuuttee!!!.... couldn't really tell though whose face she resembles!... but both babe and mom are healthy - tat's important!!.....

My cuzzin couldn't tell me exactly how her labour experience went coz the mom won't let her... :p but wat i found soooooo farny was the fact that her husband was sleeping when she was hard at work trying to push the baby out!.. hahahahha.... apparently, they tot that the labour will be for 12hrs or so - that's wat they all say for first-time mothers! - but NOT!... the babe popped barely 6hrs after she got warded!.. he was called but he accidentally slept again.. hahhahaa.... so, lesson learnt - Dearest will stay by my side from the moment i get warded till i safely deliver the babe!.... no matter HOW freakin long my labour will take me!!... he'd better!! *wags fingers*

on our way back from sending Nyayi home, we saw this!...

i'm sure the Aunties there are very happy with their own space they can call "second home".... :) cool...

we ended the nite - supper with the married gang... had fun talking cock and catching up till 2.30am!... gosh!!..... how time flies when u're merry!... really!.... i wasn't even feeling the least sleepy! AMAZING!....

and then on Sunday, we had a sneak peak of the hse...

the house from the porch.. i really dun like the iron rod gate but heck!.. it's automatic and wider than our old house!..

the huge, wet kitchen that mummy is sooooo proud of.. this is where she'll be cooking up a storm in future, as she'd promised... i'm juz waaaaiiittiiiing for that moment... HAH!!

we have a balcony on the second floor which also leads to our TV room!... lurrrrve the airiness of the room!.... ;)

and this is our new view... first, i had NO view. Then i had parking lots as view!... now, it's trees and someone's back porch with a mini-pool!! yeay!! :D

the house is still dusty... seriously, how to move house this Sunday?!... not packed, not cleaned... hmmmm.....

and yesterday we all had fun, gritting our teeth, watching the tense match between SIN and THA!... hahhahaa.... The father-in-law reminded me not to be too excited!... errrr..... *rite!*... anyways, i can juz imagine Daddy going berserk and cursing and swearing to our boys coz frankly, they dun play all that well yesterday... but thank god they won!.. tat's all tat matters!.... so CONGRATULATIONS!.... i do wonder though WHY on earth can't they ever achieve anything at the SEA Games?!.... urrrgghh!!....

HAPPENING WEEKEND..

My weekend started on Fri right up till Monday.. hence the lack of updates.. hehehe... i'm back to the office more fresh than previous weeks!.. so pls brace yourself for a pretty long entry.. hehee...

so anyways, Fri was not planned.. i got a bad eye infection on Thurs.. actually, my eyes were already feeling scratchy in the morning when i put on my lenses. but i ignored it - for vanity purposes - and got on to work.. by afternoon, it was already pretty red and it sure irritated the hell out of me!.. but i still tot that i could tahan the scratchy feeling and go to class!...

BIG MISTAKE!... in class, it got worst.. prolly coz of all the tenye-ing (touching and pushing of the eyeball when i put on the concealer and eye-shadow).. i kept tearing and smeared my make-up so i kept doing that tenye-ing to the eye somemore which made it worst - of course!....

at home, i inspected my eyes... Dearest did too and freaked himself out!.. he wanted to rush me to A&E rite there and then!.. like wat the hell for rite?!... he said he saw a white thingie near my eyes and worried that i'm another one of those "eye cases"... but i insisted that we should juz go to a night doctor and tat's how i got my long, unplanned weekend!... :)

in the morning, i got yet another surprise!!... Izy has given birth to her baby boy - Baby Rayyan - at 5am.. normal delivery. Al-hamdulillah... have yet to go and see her but being a proud mama to her babe, she MMS a pic of the babe!....

now, looking at this, i have no inkling as to who he resembles!... really. WHO eh??!.... can u tell??.... i freakin can't tell!... hahahaa.... howell... as they say, the babe's features will change.. we'll hopefully get to meet them sometime next week!... to Izy and Yat, CONGRATULATIONS on your first born!!.... insya-allah our boys will be able to keep each other company when we have our group gatherings eh.. heehehehehe..... ;)

Oh!.. and then, the parents dropped the bomb-shell!... we're not moving as yet!!.... :( Part 1 of the moving was supposed to be done on Sunday.. but nooooooo... apparently, the house is STILL NOT READY!... aaaarrrgghh!!.... punya bingit!!... but we're still made to pack our stuffs!.... *bummer!*

On Sat, we went to watch the BIG soccer match at the stadium... waaaah!.. really feel like the good ol' Malaysia Cup days... practically 80% of the stadium's donned in red.. it was also practically full house with the crowd very semangat doing the Kallang wave once we got a successful round of wave going round the stadium!...

as usual, wat's a football game without curses flying around rite?... i had to cover my tummy so my babe won't be able to hear that much-said word that the whole stadium screamed ev'time the horn is blared!... *yeah! as if it works!*... kwang.. kwang.. kwang... but i'm pretty sure the babe got juz as excited coz he kept kicking and "jumping" around inside everytime me or the crowd get excited!.. hahahaa...

we were seated where they had the penalty kick and BOY!... u can imagine our excitement when Lionel saved that last freakin ball!.... i totally forgot that i was pregnant and jumped and cheered like nobody's business!.. hahaha... luckily, nothing happened!... but i got backache the next morning!... :(

anyways, as if the surprises and excitement were NOT enuff, my cuzzin delivered her new-born at 7am on Sunday morning to her baby girl!!!..... not visited her yet... so no pictures... to An and Fahmi, CONGRATULATIONS to u both on the new-born!!.... insya-allah will come visit one day... she seemed healthy and happy in her sms.. so, i assume things went well with her delivery... :) al-hamdulillah..

Lastly, remember i said before that we went on a major shopping spree for the babe?... well, that shopping had finally arrived in a silver package with a golden ribbon!.... sooooo exciting!... in all the excitement of receiving this package, i totally forgot to take out the camera!... baaaah!... so, must wait lah hor?.... can't reveal the package as yet!.. hehehehe..... will do so in due time... ;)

how i wish my future weekends would be as happening as this one!... now, back to work!... gaaaah!!!.....
