I'M 30!
I can't believe i've reached the big 3-0!... soooo not cool but it's inevitable!.. hahhahaa.. :p the good thing is, i think i've aged gracefully.. coz when i was younger, ppl guessed i'm older than my actual age.. but now that i'm actually older, they guessed i'm much younger than before.. hahahah.. :p (ok.. puke all you want here... :p)

anyways, i had a joint bday celebration with Siti, my cuzz whose bday is 2 days away from mine. It was a mini bday bash alrite.. imagine the shock i got when i reached Mummy's and saw a birthday banner together with balloons and those hanging thingie.. *gasp!* feels like i'm celebrating my 21st bday!.. hahahhaa... i dun even think my 21st bday was this 'big'!.. hahahhaa...

 Annnnnd..... Dearest granted my wish which was 1 yr overdue.. :D

A pair of bling-blings which i've wished for since my last bday.. :) loved it!.. and what did i get myself for my 30th bday??...

uh'huh... a "new look"... i braved myself and got the hairdresser to snip my hair off!.. when i saw the hair under the chair, my heart breaks.. but when i saw the aftermath, my face lit up!.. i loved the way it turned out but it lasted for 24hours only... hahhaha.. coz the next day when I had to blow dry it myself, obviously it din turn out the way they did it!.. :p but nonetheless, i feel fresher and most importantly, it's a "NEW look" altogether! hahahhaaa....

So what have i achieved the past 30 years?!... well, there were a few achievements that i must say i'm proud of but there's no need to brag publicly abt it too, rite?... hah!.. i'm juz contented and thankful that my life has been quite a bliss so far.. there were times when it was trying, of course but al-hamdulillah my mood and environment has never made me sink into a "black hole" before.. I'm even more thankful now than ever that i'm blessed with a job i'm beginning to thoroughly enjoy - it makes my days more whole and worthwhile.. :)

So what do i wish for on my bday?

.... Many, many more blissful years to come..

.... Many, many more $$$$$ rolling in..

.... Being a better parent to my kids..
.... One more child before i turn 32 perhaps??.. :p

I'm also currently wishing that we'll go on a road trip with the SP Gang this coming year and a family trip with perhaps another family (?) to somewhere overseas... i dunno why but suddenly i'm thinking of juz leaving on a jet plane with Dearest and the kids... but i know it's too troublesome to bring the kids esp Anousha out of town now.. gaaaaah!!... howell, we'll juz have to WAIT to fly on a jetplane then... kwang.. kwang.. kwang.. ;)

But i'm definitely seriously considering to plan for our gang's roadtrip across the highway.. i'm hoping it'll materialise for the 1wk Mar holidays!!... *fingers & toes crossed*..

he doesn't want to bathe and cleans up after he poos! earlier, he doesn't even want to use his diapers!.. grrr... i really pulled my hair this time.. as it is, i'm still sick from the flu bug he passed me yest and he doesn't anyone else to attend to him other than moi!...

so darling, i'll give you a week to get over the syndrome..
after that, i hope the lovable Eshan will be back in action! :)

HAPPY BDAY!
it was, as mentioned in my previous post, Daddy's bday 2 days ago... and so, we went to Carousel for dinner.. our first time ever too...

the food was slightly salty - depending on your taste bud, it could be very salty for some.. the selection was good though i prefer the old Carousel better.. the chicken rice was horrendous!.. the raw food - sushi, cold platter and wat have yous were VERY GOOD according to the parents. the bread were soft and delicious!... the bread and butter pudding were simply the best!

we bought this ridiculously expensive cake but ridiculously delicious and got the team of servers to sing to Daddy the bday song!

my dearest Eshan was sooooo happy tat day coz..

he loves it when we sing Happy Bday - even if it's not to him!

not only was he stuffed with loads of food!.. he even got a choc treat from a staff there!.. look how satisfied he is!!.. ahhaha...

but when it was time to cut the cake..

he looked bored!!.... ape saje!

so anyways, Carousel is having a 15% disc to all DBS/Citibank/AMEX card-holders.. it's a good time to be there.. ;)

FINALLY 1!!
Wanted soooo badly to blog abt my baby's bday bash but was sooooo bz to update wat with my baby having fever a day after we got back from the chalet!... :(

his fever has subsided but he's coughing like a man now.. hopefully, the med will work it's wonders and i get back my cheerful, happy, kemaruk-nak-jalan baby!!

so, first up, thanks to all who came down for the party esp to those in purple.. thanks for taking the time to come down and "celebrate" Eshan's day though it was 2 days late! ;) not really soooo much of a celebration lah.. juz a get-together of family and frenz.. but it'll def be the first and last!

before i blog abt the bday party proper, let me post-date the entry back to 2wks before the party.. we shaved off his curls!! he cried for mercy when the barber started shaving those damn curls!... kecian...

didn't quite take nice shots of him with his no-curls head.. but he does look better without those curls. really!.. hahahaa...

and so.. before the not-so-big celeb, we did a mock one at home on his real bday.. i did the extra big cake with Bik Pok's help annndd after all that slogging, he cried when we sang him the bday song!.. aiyoh!.. (to think me and Dearest practiced singing to him the bday song! pffft!!..)

but luckily, Eshan lurves the cake! ;)

and sooooo we were really hoping he didn't cry on the actual celeb.. buuutttt he was cranky the whole time we were having the BBQ on the actual celeb!! :( but thank god, during the sing-the-bday-song time, he was ok... hehehe...

thanks to Mummy and Mak for most of the spread, Daddy for the bday cake, Bik Pok and Nyai Melah for the purply desserts and BIL for the free flow of unnamed drinks!! ;)

Each small guests (read: the kids) gets a purple bag as favours.. the adults get a small pack of cookies (which i forgot to take a pic of!)..

thank god that it didn't rain and everything ran smoothly except for the Satay that tasted weird... none of the guests except for 1 complained of tummy ache so i think oklah eh?.. sorry guys!!... but at the end of the loooonnggg day, all the bday boy wanna do is zzzzzZZZZzzzzzzz........

his bday present for himself on his bday?.. he can walk!!... he actually started taking those extra cautious steps a week before but spot on his bday, he took the plunge and walked round the house! ;) and he even wanna kick the ball around!

now, he'll say "mamam" when he wanna eat and "bohl" when he sees a ball!.. so hopefully, he'll catch on more words in time to come!! :D i'm a happy mama!...

THE MILESTONE I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR!
we saw him taking 3 cautious baby steps last nite!... oh my!!... my baby's learning to let go albeit cautiously!.... and off we went in search of that squeaking shoes!!... annnddd..... whaddya know?... we got a squeaking Barney sandals - juz on time for his Barney-inspired bday theme!... :)

and once he put it on and hear the squeaking sound it made, he wanna walk, walk, walk - holding our hands of course!... ;) so baby, will u be walking the day you turn 1???..... mama hope so!... ameen...

speaking of Eshan's bday party, i'm pretty stressed out coz the BBQ pit area is pretty small!... thank god for the bigger open space.. butttt still, the chalet's fully booked tat day.. so, worst case scenario, there'll be A LOT OF ppl crowding the BBQ pits!... we're looking for foldable tables and plastic chairs - anyone can loan us for free, plsssss??? and i wanna hang some balloons but Dearest said, there's no space and there's no need for 1!.. but i wanna hang at least a Barney balloon somewhere!!!.... urrrrgh!.... how can there be a bday party without balloons, ait??...

anyways, due to the atrocious pile of work i've gotta do, pic have to wait... :( can't wait to show you guys a pix of Eshan with his curls shaven off!.. yup!... my son's got no curls at the moment! ;) and we're lurving it!.. ahahhahaa....

ANOTHER YEAR..
waaaah!... how time flies.. i'm 27 with an 8mth old in hand.. ;) life has been bliss so far.. wat more can i ask for?... i'm contented..

as a ritual, i would normally list my "achievements" for the year.. but heck, i dun think i've got like a whole load of list... i guess the only achievement that i can definitely be proud abt is the fact that i delivered my son without the help of the epidural!... that was the greatest achievement and something i'm damn proud of myself in all of my 27yrs on earth besides that one time in 1996 when i achieved something else too tat was beyond my (and everyone else for that matter) expectation.. ;)

i had a great bday celebration which started with the chalet with Dearest and Eshan. We brought Eshan for a swim and my oh my! how he lurrrvessss the water!.. hahahha.. of course his first reaction was wailed out loud when i suddenly, without prior introduction to the pool, put him on the baby float..

but after some intro from Dearest, he "splashed" himself abt.. hehehe...

on Mon, bro treated the whole family to Straits Kitchen - my favourite makan buffet place! BEST!!..... and got the bunch to sing that irritating Hey! Hey! Hey! Happy Birthday! song.. aiyoh!... soooo blardy paiseh coz i was the first one they sung to that nite!!... kwang.. kwang.. kwang...

on the DAY itself, we went out shopping!!... shop! shop! shop! till my legs felt so freakin sore!!.... and it was also the first public transport outing for Eshan! i told Dearest, wat a day to choose to go public!.. got sooo many things to carry with a child on hand plak tu!!... but i'm glad Eshan pretty much enjoyed the time in the MRT "monkeying" with the handles... hahhaha....

We celebrated Hari Raya Haji yest.. and i made my special egg tarts.. annnnddd, i've got orders for them from Mak. but she asked for 250pcs!! aiyoh!..... tat's like A LOT lor!.. i juz hope i can find mini cups so tat it's a bit less taxing and i dun have to reject her.. If i decide to do it, Dearest better help me in taking care of Eshan coz it'll sure take up the whole day!... it is afterall for his Mother!... hehhehee... oh!.. i'm very happy that it's well-received by everyone..

now, i'm confident that i can sell off these tarts.. ;) so if anyone's interested, i'm selling the tarts @ $0.60 per pce (min 20pcs, max 100pcs only). no delivery. collect after 11am. Tarts guaranteed fresh and should only be consumed within the day. ;)

i've been wanting to do Madeleines for the longest time! i already have the recipe but i cannot find the container (or wateva u call it!).. so, i had to make do with baulu-lookalike shaped containers... i berangan want to do it during one of my off days.. but too bad lah... i think i shall try attempting it on Sunday instead!...

SURPRISE! SURPRISE!
We wanted to give Ms Gems a nice surprise for her 30th bday... and so, we devised a not-so-thought-out plan with the the hubby.. and hence that minor glitch - sorry Nazy u couldn't join us!!... but anyways, we're soooooo glad that she was sooooooooo surprised!!.... :D

We bought a cake - Chocolate Banana - from The Royals... (mamamia!... it's freakin nice!!!... i shall buy all bdays cakes from there!!....) with 30 candles in celebration of her 30th bday of course!!...

and boy!.. did we sabo ourselves instead!... the husbands had a hard time lighting up all 30 candles!...

and then there was also this makcik kaypo, looking on from one corner!... hehehhee....

IS IT STARTING?
I couldn't sleep last nite. i kept tossing and turning in bed. couldn't breathe properly. kept peeing. and now, i'm at work feeling all sleepy... :(

as it is, Dearest have decided to send me to work by car. so we have to leave home by 6.15am so that he can send me and reach home before 7am!... if i had my way, i would still be riding the bike every morning but he's worried coz i'm oredi in my 8th mth.. 2more mths to go.... hmmm.. how time flies eh?....

i'm sooooo worried of insomnia coz my body is really "weakening".. i'm soooo tired easily.. i'm literally falling asleep while working!... my legs feel heavy at the end of the day and all i really wanna do is lie on the bed with my feet up.. so i really can't afford to not have sleep. i NEEEED sleep!!!

God help me make it thru the coming days, plsssss.... i hope to last till i deliver.. so till then, i hope my body's strong enuff to carry me thru... amiiin....

FALLING ASLEEP...
i'm literally falling asleep the whole of today!... been dozing off while doing some reading... and i juz can't seem to open my eyes until i pop in a few M&M minis!... and now at least half the tube is gone!!.... shit!.. i better curb my snacking rendevous siah!!... not hungry but keep munching!.. uurrrgghh!!!... ;(

anyways, yest, the girls - Fahma, Leen and Carolyn gave me a surprise bday "treat"... juz nice for tea time actually!.. hahahhaa.... thanks girls!!!... nevermind if it's belated!... it's the tot that counts!! ;)

and thank god it didn't rain last nite!!..... my cuzzin got her party underway as planned.. al-hamdulillah.. and boy!.. did she invite a LOT of her friends over!!!..... waaahahhahaa..... al-maklum.. they may not see each other as often since they're all graduating and prolly going to the different institutions and/or going their separate ways... aaaah... reminded me of my secondary school class-mates.. wonder wat happened to them eh??.... hmmmm....

but anyways, the food damn kick-ass nice!.... basically, i juz stuffed myself with satay and chicken wings!.... they're finger-licking goooooddd!!!..... speaking of it make me wanna eat some more now!.... damn!!.... pfft!... i ate till i was sooooo full last nite but this morning, i woke up, feeling sooooo hungry!.... alamak!.. how liddat?!....

THE SUN IS OUT!
yeay!.. the sun came out at last!... i'm soooo happy!!...i hope it stays this way for the sake of my cuzzin who's celebrating her bday today!... :) she's invited us to her bbq and soooooo i dun really wanna see her plans foiled!!.... happy 16yrs old Shahirah!! :D

anyways, yest was (to me), a successful make-up lesson day!.. yeay!.. manage to do my C-technique quite well, i must say.. hahaha...

this is the C technique.. u start from the tail of the eye and brush upwards at the eye socket.. then blend... it's to create deep sockets..

we also learnt how to do the hair.. very basic one... not glamour ones of course... and THAT gave me a hard time.. it doesn't help that i dun have enough time to complete the hair... wat u see on her is not done by me obviously!.. ahahaa....

but anyways, can practice somemore the coming weeks! :)

RAIN RAIN GO AWAY
It's been raining since yesterday!!... gosh!... and i had to take the cab today.. which cost me nearly $20!.. alamak!.... really cannot afford to take cabs in the later stage of my pregnancy lah!.. too expensive!!!... baaaahh!!...

anyways, we had a nice, "romantic" dinner at my favourite rest... 3 Monkeys!.. hehehee... the food was nice, ambience was cozy and the company is lovable!... *muacks!!*... love u dear!!!..... we were sooooo freakin full at the end of the day but had to wait out for the rain to stop...

we tot it'd stop.. but when we were walking towards the bike halfway, it started pouring cats and dogs AGAIN!!.... and sooooo we rushed to the nearby phone-booth where we cramped in for almost half an hr!.... very "romantic" hor?.... hahhahaa.... i was already pretty sleepy by then and soooooo we braved the "storm" and made our way home!... coz we sure ain't getting out of there anytime soon if we're thinking of waiting for the rain to stop!.... baaaaah!!....

to sum it up, my bday was a wet (but not wild!), romantic one..... ;) i'm happy to be with my Dearest.. and i think it's hujan berkat on my bday.... :)

today, i juz wish i was in bed, enjoying the warmth of my blanket!!.... brrrr.... it's such a nice weather to sleep in!.... there's nothing much to do around here... so yeah!... i'm freakin free!..... kwang.. kwang.. kwang...

ONE YEAR WISER..
yeay!... it's my bday today!... another year has gone by... a year older but hopefully wiser.. hehehe... *though i know some will tend to disagree!.. considering how "slow" i am at somethings!... * :)

so what have i significantly achieve the past year?...
1. a new (short-lived) figure. even for that slightest moment - 1mth to be exact.. i got myself a figure i never imagine i can achieve!... even if it's not exactly what i want!.. hahhaa.... but howell!... anything to look good for the wedding!!.... hhehee... and of course, now, i'm going back to my original frame only bigger!.... kwang.. kwang.. kwang..
2. my newly wed status. i LURRRVVEE being married to the love of my life! love u honey!!!... *muuaaacckss!!*... nothing beats getting a kiss and greeted from your loved one first thing on your bday morning!...
3. our unborn but breeding child in me. can't really say i lurrrrve being pregnant... but i definitely doooooo lurrrrve this breeding child in me... it's amazing what God has created and how it's being created... and it's definitely making us excited waiting for it's arrival!!....

the past year is filled with bless, full of new experiences.. a good year indeed.. and i hope, i'd enjoy more blessed, fulfilling years to come!! ;)
