ANUGERAH 2004
This entry is dedicated to the contestants of ANUGERAH yesterday. Pls forgive me for the comments I'm going to write down. Since Suria only allow "constructive" comments, let me air it here, on my blog and give you guys my comments - you can take it or leave it. Whichever you choose, don't regret!
The GIGI award - I can't decide between the two: Contestant 3 (girl) and Zainal Abidin!..these two has potential voices if not for their teeth jutting out..and for that, i can only hear your songs on radio..but not on a live concert or anything like that!
The HAND award - again, this goes out to contestant 3 with that Misha look-alike performance with the hand flying here and there! And third last contestant, a lady, with that hand making small waves (like dolphins jumping out of the water) while she was singing..
The WORST-DRESS award - definitely goes out to the 3rd contestant with that "cheongsam-look-alike" with pants underneath and organza "coat" thingie..wat's with that?!..and that makcik who sang dangdut!!..OMG!!...makcik wanna go wedding after that har?!..
The LEPER award - this award is for those with a combi of flat hair/voice/face..goes out to father-to-be contestant (combi of flat face & voice) and the other "makcik" in tha' house (combi of flat hair and voice)!
The WRONG-CHOICE song award - def this gay guy (with "shaven" eye-brows who sang a female song) and this girl who sang a quad song by Ning, Nora, Dessi and Ziana! DUH!!..u sound as if you're running a marathon!
The MENERAN award - this Juwita i think..the girl in hot, horrible pink..plssss...u wanna meneran (anyone care to translate this?), do it in the toilet!..NOT on national TV!
The WRONG SINGER award - goes to Ayie!!....such beautiful song, should be sang by Hazrul or Anuar!!...not some rocker wannabe pakcik!!!.....very the WRONG!!
The BEST performance - Man Toyak! with a song written by dunno-who, HUJAN!....That performance made me woke up, boy!!!....so, even if the song don't win, that's alrite!..the fact of the matter is, I've only enjoyed your performance!!
To Suria channel, I don't think that Anugerah should be on every year!..there's too little talents out here to be showcased!..as it is, whichever talent that came out of this show, could not be featured enough in two years, let alone A YEAR!!
To the contestants, a word of advise, as quoted by judges in AMI3 - "dun attempt to sing DIVA songs esp from Ziana Zain unless you've got a powerful voice!" And stop with that hand flying!...are you trying to swat flies away from your face? And to that one gay guy (or at least looked like one) who have tried out last year and still tried again, (and mark my words, is going to be out, AGAIN!), pls choose a more manly song..if not, you'll be OUT coz they can't possibly market a gay guy in a muslim/malay community, now, could they?!....
