HALF-DAY RAMBLINGS
Firstly, congrats to Dearest for passing that dreaded 2.4km!!..... gonna get his hands on those moolahs.. comes in handy when we wanna pay for the gynae package for the lil' one next week! yippee!!! ;)

Tee kept commenting how my tummy's protuding and showing now... like of course lah!... duuuh!!!...... but i'm still using my normal working clothes.. though i think i have to go for a shopping spree soon for pants!!.... even my hipster can't fit, it seems!... i have to leave the button opened for comfort sake!...

hmmmm....... tot of waiting for the Dorothy Perkins sale but i doubt i can wait that long!! but if anyone got lobang as to when's the sale is coming, do holler!! ;) gosh!... stomach's rumbling now... need food.... yum! yum!!... heading towards my fav popiah shop!!! have a nice lunch break y'all!! :D

ALL ALONE..
Semboyan telah berbunyi... Dearest's been called for "service", leaving me all alone the next 3 days.. *BOO!*... :( not too sure if he can come back every day or not... but howell... it's only 3 days... gonna miss him like crazee!!... esp our morning rides to work....

took the MRT today.. and boy!... now that i'm pregnant, my sense of smell is more acute than ever!... smelling all sorts of stuffs - pleasant and unpleasant inclusive!... damn it!.. thank god i didn't puke!... would certainly have if i'd have taken something in the morning!!...

oh!.. speaking of puking, i won't ever take curry until further notice... reason?!... i puked out my morning breakfast - maggie curry - yesterday! the last time i vomitted out my breakfast was on my last day of fasting.. and that morning, i had curry too for sahur!... now, wat a coincidence!!.... so no more curry until it's proven that curry's not the culprit!.... gaaaaahh!!!......

anyways, for now, i'm freeeee for the next 3 days... good luck to my dearest on his IPPT.. hope u'll bring in that $200 moolahs, yah!.. hehehhe... even if you don't i'll still love u, dear!! ;) *MUAAAACCKKSS!!*..

DEEPA-RAYA..
At the very last hour, Dearest manage to get his new suit for the Raya... soooo.. we went Deepa-Raya this year!! ;)

oh!.. and this year's raya was also a platform for the announcement of our good news!... kwang.. kwang.. annnnd.. the start of gaining A LOT of weight too!!... been eating.. and eating.. and eating over the holidays!... goodness!.. all the oil!... and yesterday, while resting at home, was muching on Mummy's tarts every now and then while watching TV!!..... oooooh.. laaa.. laaaa... i'm pretty sure my weight gain's starting sooooon!... damn it!! but amazingly, my morning sickness seems to have gone!... my babe tak nak puasa ke??.. hahaha.... :p

oh!... read in Her World (Nov issue) that HP is coming out with this fantastic camera with a slimming effect button!... juz press that button and you will look 4.5kg lighter!... imagine that!!... i can't!.. really!... how can tat be?!.. ahahahha.... :D will the cam be soooo smart as to juz shed those weight or will the whole pic look "slimmer"?!.... btw, it's not out in Asia yet... so dun go to the shops and start asking now.. hahaha...

CAMAT HARI RAYA!
today's the last day of Ramadhan and i missed fasting today!... coz my morning sickness came and it was the most disgusting, dreadful, awful morning sickness ever!.... i vomitted out whatever i ate in the morning and stood in front of the sink for 10 mins, vomitting my guts out!... damn it!!.... i can still feel the vomit in my throat rite now!... bleagh!!...

been getting this morning sickness pretty regularly now... to look at the bright side, quoted by the doc himself, the worse off ur morning sickness and nausea, the healthier the baby... tat's wat i would like to think my baby would be... HEALTHY!... insya-allah...

this year, semangat berbaking berkobar2 betul!... my mom's pineapple tarts are freakin delicious!!.... i lapis (layered) like 4 kek lapis in 1 morning and baked my cookies at least 6 times for this year's hari raya!!... but my semangat to clean up our room sungguh tak semangat!!!... sungguh MALAS!!... soooo... here's my luuuurrrveeee to my dearest hubby...

he's been the "cleaner" of our messy, dusty room this year!!... ;D he did ALL the cleaning minus the mopping coz mummy did that for us!.. hahaha.... but yeah!... the room is sparkling clean, tidy like bilik anak dara (even when i was a dara, not as clean as that!).. LOOOOVEEEE u my DARLING!!! thank u soooooo much!!!.... sesungguhnya i beruntung dapat suami macam you! ;) when mummy asked me wat i did for the room, i said - "i Supervised!".. hehehee.... nolah... actually hor, i cleared my "rubbish"!.... for heaven's sake!.. i got like tons of rubbbish!!.... kwang.. kwang.. kwang... oh!.. and hmmm.... i have to seek your forgiveness tomorrow, dear.... giving me the jitters!.. hahaha... can we do it via email/sms/phone/e-card instead??.. hhehehe...

Before i sign off... can i just say i'm sooooo freakin pissed coz i could have gotten a pair of tickets FREE to that Hype Concert if ONLY it wasn't on tomorrow!!!.... damn it!.... i'm sooooooooo sore rite now!!....

IT'S ALL ABT THE EYEBROWS
We learnt abt the eyebrows yesterday... how to shape our own eyebrows... and hmmm... must say it's damn difficult lor!!!..... i think everyone's a bit sceptical to shave off their own eyebrows coz hari raya is sooooo round the corner!!... hahaha....

but we all seemed to have made it through!.... everybody looked pretty with nicely-shaped eyebrows!! ;) i think it must be in everybody's minds - "no need to go do threading liao! sep duit!".. hahahhaa....

but niways, it is definitely easier to do on ur own eyebrows but the nerves will definitely get to you when u do someone else's!... i need to practise, practise, practise!!.... i wonder if my aunties and cuzzins will let me do theirs???..... *hint! hint!*

oooooh!... and we got our whole make-up kit yesterday!... we're like lil' girls - excited opening and fiddling with our new "toys"!.... too bad rosma, u're not there!!!... seronok u!!! ;)

THE STORY..
It all started with a popiah, 3mths ago... me and Dearest wanted to catch a movie and i told Dearest, let's have a popiah before the start of the show... and Dearest went *gasp!* "are u...?" with a happy, cheeky face... i went like "wat the ... !!!"

And then, wat do u know??..... a few wks later, i found out that i AM pregnant afterall!!!.... hehhehe... yes! peeps!... me - the one who was lamenting on whether we should start a family so soon, with no one to look after it, blah.. blah.. - is P.R.E.G.N.A.N.T!!!.....

CONFIRMED Pregnant!!

And that is the reason WHY i didn't go for my wisdom teeth surgery... and that is HOW i found out abt my pregnancy!... gaaaah!!..... i was actually 11days late!.. and i juz buat bodoh thinking that i was having my PMS all the while!!!.... yeah!.. my PMS, if u must know, has the exact symptoms to tat of a pregnant woman's!!

U guys dunno how much i wanted to shout out abt the news earlier.. but i tot i should wait till the babe's more stable... coz when we first went to see the gynae at supposedly 6-7wks, the gynae couldn't see the babe in the gestational sac... we were told to see him again a wk later to see how it was progressing and i'm telling ya, it was the longest 1wk wait ever!!!

but al-hamdulillah, 1wk later, we got to see our babe!!...

sooooo tiny!!... only 0.81cm!!....

imagine how happy we new parents-to-be to see this being formed and seeing the rapid heartbeat beating!!.... aaaah..... i couldn't believe that i was excited coz i was the one who's soooo sceptical of starting a family in the first place!....

so anyways, a wk after this, we found out that our friends are seeing a much more cheaper gynae than the one we're seeing in KK... after doing a bit of research, we decided to go with the SIL's gynae coz it's damn cheap lor!!.... fyi, u only gotta pay $550 from the first consultation to the last consultation - scans, medicine, consultation, inclusive!... u'll deliver at Thomson Medical Centre and pay for a 4-bedder rm but u get upgraded to a 2-bedder rm!! :)

and so, at 11wks, we went to see our new gynae who's pretty quirky, straight to the point and a play-safe one... coz he told us SEX is a no-no!... where got such thing one??!.... but niways, again, we got to see our babe...

it's 3.56cm now..

it's tripled in length now and the EDD's expected to be 20 Apr!... yeay!!... a day after my bro's bday, a week before the Daddy's bday!!... tat'll be my present to the both of them next year!.. ahhahhaa.... ;)

juz as i told my new gynae that i've had no morning sickness the past 2mths!... the dreadful morning sickness came the day after i see him!.... baaaah!!.... i juz tend to purge.. no vomit.. juz that awful nauseated feeling in the mornings rite up to lunch...

and then today, a milestone for me... i actually vomitted in the morning!!..... juz when the babe officially turned 12wks (after conception) today, it made me vomit!!!...... urgggh!... i hate vomitting coz as far as i remember, i've only vomitted twice so far!!..... this is the third!.... gaaaaahhh!!.....

howell... like the gynae said.. the more you vomit, the healthier the babe!.. ;) i dun really see the connection but wateva!.... i juz pray everyday for a healthy babe!!...

anyways, my last visit to the gynae 2days ago, the gynae wanted to check it's neck's strength or something... but the babe wouldn't cooperate coz it's in a weird position... but everything else, acc to the gynae looked OK... the babe looked stable oredi.. the heartbeat's pumping like nobody's business... al-hamdulillah....

it's 6.84cm now..

u see how the babe's end is up?... hmmm.... wonder wat it's doing??!!.... kwang.. kwang.. kwang.. anyways, one of the better news of the day is, i'm not really gaining weight!!... yeay!!!.... ;) i've only gained, at most 2kg over the past 3mths!.. yippee!!.... but must say lah... Rosma's question was intriguing - so where did all these babats come from eh?!... hahahhaha.... coz my tummy do look like one large tumour!!.... ;( the peeps in the office dun seem to notice (coz i'm still wearing my normal office wear), but i think they may have known oredi coz i got one lousy secret-keeper boss in the office!!.... baaaahh!!....

but niways, after today, if anyone asked if i AM afterall pregnant, and not juz plain fat, i'll juz answer with a smile and a yes!.. hahahha..... coz now, my babe's more stable and i'm ready to face the world with my growing, bloating, bod!....

BACK TO SCHOOL
ooooh yes!... at last!!!.... me and Rosma going back to school today... hopefully, it's not much theory and all practical!... coz i dun think i can stay much awake if it's juz yak, yak, yak!.... but thank god too tml moi on leave!... so can sleep in late!!!!... yippee!!!.....

oh!... and jade's still NOT out yet?!... blardy hell!... she was damn fake lor when she suddenly "cried" for no apparent reason!... alamak!.... she ought to get one tight slap and the title of the MOST hated reality TV bitch in history!...

hmmm..... i juz started work an hour ago... i still have abt 8 hrs more to go before the bell rings!!.... :( and i'm already starting to feel like shit!.....

RAMBLINGS..
oooh.. the office sooooo quiet today... the bosses aren't here.. the peeps busy doing their work.. well, i'm supposed to be busy too... but i dunch care!!..... i'll continue my busy mode after this..

anyways, whilst doing my work, i got very distracted.. by wat?!... my split ends!!!... oh goddd!!.... they're sooooo terrible coz they're everywhere!!.... it's like i can't not pick up a strand of hair and not see a split end!.... gaaaah!!... my hair's terribly weak.. it's terribly messy too!!.... :( it needs a boost!.... i need my hairdresser before the raya!!!....

oh!.. and since raya is here, i dunno whether i am looking forward to doing spring cleaning this year?... i guess it would be easier to do spring cleaning now... so that when we move out after raya, there's not really much to pack... hmmm... but i dun feel like spring cleaning.. but at the same time, i think i HAVE to coz there's not really much space in the cupboard now!.... :( and i know it's clogged with clothes that i have loooonggg not used!!.....

and my BAGS!!..... Dearest has specifically requested i throw my bags coz he dun really see me using my all my bags... and yes, i do agree that i now only have a few favourite bags that i'd wear to go out and to work.. but my reason to him is simple - wat if one day, i need a bag to go along with something?... and my favourite bags cannot suit my wear or something like that?... those extra bags served as a back-up mah!... there can never be too many bags for a girl, anyways!... ;) hmmmm.... but oklah... for his sake, i will throw away some bags that i think i will not use anymore and/or are spoilt!.... gaaaaahh!!!....

ooooh!.... it's been a while since mummy did her pineapple tarts!... she agreed to do them this year!... but someone's gotta parut the pineapples!.. hehehe... guess who?!.... got Dearest to do it!!.. i hope he do it coz i sure ain't gonna parut 10 pineapples!!... :D hmmm....

and yes.. i do notice that i'm rambling now... dun mind me yah.. ;) hohohoho....

IFTAR WITH DEAREST..
We had Swensen's for iftar last nite... and oh my gawd!!... wat a sumptuous, Sumptuous dinner it was!!!...... i had this Mega Burger, a new menu, and it really was damn Mega!!..... hahahhaa... HUGE!!!.... a LOT of stuffs in it.... juz see this!

doesn't tat look good!!!... damn!!..... i'm now salivating liao!.. hahahhaa... puasa... puasa..... sabar eh..... :) oh! btw, juz for Ramadan, Swensen's offering this deal - add $3 (i should think with every main dish), you get soup of the day, coffee/tea/soft drink and a Gold Rush sundae!.. GRRRREAT, greeeat deal juz for their Muslim frenz... ;)

after dinner, we went to geylang to source for our pair of baju for Hari Raya... and we met quite a number of ppl!!!..... waaaah!.. first time i get to see my frenz in Geylang!!.... everytime we go there, it seemed that Dearest only gets to see his frenz!!..... oh well!... perhaps, last nite, i was more observant to the surroundings!.... gaaah!!.....

oh!... and i bought this punjabi look alike suit... it was very pretty when we saw it... but when i tried it on at home, i DUN freakin look pretty in it!... DAMN!!!.. wat a waste!!... it IS pretty... maybe i'm not used to wearing a punjabi suit?!.... anyone wanna buy it????

and then this morning, i receive this card from good frenz who're far from sight, but near at heart.. Zaidah & hubby, Faris...

i was actually juz thinking of doing up my own e-card but really have NO time to do it!!!... baaaah!... but niways, hopefully, i'll get to do it soooon!!...... hmmmm....

NEED TO BREAK AWAY...
WOW!.. it's been that damn long since i last posted an entry!!.... :( damn it!.. been very busy at work... am still busy actually but fark it... i need to break away from doing my work and pour out my feelings!!!......

i was juz telling Dearest that i think my work performance is deteriorating... i found myself losing important documents, not thoroughly checking my work, preferring to do things at a slower pace than rushing my urgent work.. blah.. blah.... Dearest told me not to juz complain abt it but think of a solution... hmmmmm....

the problem is, i think i have NO more heart in my work oredi... how to solve that eh??.... seriously, i think i need a break from my job... i need to reevaluate what i wanna do in my life.. set my priorities and perhaps, break away from the mundane 9-5 job.. i am actually also considering doing part-time!.... haaaaiizzz... if only we can afford it!...

anyways, my bro's feeling extremely generous.. he told me that if i ever wanna open up my own baking business, he'd sponsor me!... buuuttt only for rental of the shop!.. baaaahh!!!.... :p oklah... at least, he's telling me that he have faith in my baking!!! hhahhaa.... anyways, hmmmm... i wish to do it from home coz tat'll mean less expenses and overheads.. but niways, i'm seriously considering his offer esp once he's gotten his full-blown pay!... hmmmm... and i really do pray hard that he gets to become what he aspire to be - A PILOT!.... insya-allah his dreams would be fulfilled. Amin...

anyways, it's less than 2wks away to Hari Raya!!.... oh mi gosh!!.... 2 wks of puasa oredi?!... how time flies!!!..... we still haven't really gotten our pair of baju for the raya yet!!!..... may have to do so over this weekend after the bakings!!.... gaaaah!!!...

LESSONS FROM TEENY WEENY
B, Teeny Weeny and myself attended a colleague's wedding dinner together last nite and boy!.. was it one of the most typical Chinese wedding dinner ever!.. but one of the most enriching experience too!!.... so here's a list of what i learnt from the event, courtesy of Teeny Weeny..

1. In a Cantonese wedding, whatever ang bao is given to the girl's side, the girl's parents would get all of them!... so, u should tell the person at the reception that you're the bride / groom's friend so that you will be directed to the right person to give the ang bao to.... but of course, this depends on the families lah.. but to play it safe, since our colleague - the groom - is a Cantonese, we salam him so that we're ensured that the ang bao goes rightfully, to him!.. :)

2. A typical Chinese wedding do NOT start on time.. i repeat. DO NOT start on time!... it was nearly a good hour's wait before the bride and groom made their entrance and we, being served our food... :( we intended to go late but coz we wished to be chauffered to the venue, we had to go earlier so that Daddy can get the car on time to go for his nightly prayers... kebulur aku!!....

3. A typical, traditional Chinese man would normally serve the parents (if they're there) or the girls first before serving themselves. That's the correct "upbringing"... acc to the self-proclaimed traditional Chinese man himself - Teeny Weeny.. hah!... we were sooooo overwhelmed by his gentleman-ness that we couldn't help gush our thanks to him!.... sooooo impressive leh!!... yah.. and i had to tell Dearest that he took care of us pretty well, i must say!! ;)

4. GREAT lesson learnt - always, always, ask the invitee if they're serving Muslim food.. i didn't ask.. i kept forgeting and also assumed that i'll be served, probably individually, if the table is not a Muslim table.. buuuttttt... it turns out that my table is NOT a Muslim table plus, the hotel do not serve guests individually!... alamak!!!.... however, i must, must commend the banquet staff for being very accommodating and spooning a portion of Muslim food from another table!!! :D well done!!!....

5. Ever wondered why in a Chinese wedding, the rice is served last??... well, acc to Teeny Weeny, this is to fill u up should the food served previously, didn't!... well.. it does make sense!!.. hahahha.... esp if you're in a table full of big-eaters!!! :D
