WHEN PARANOIA SETS IN..
After a dramatic Friday, it all finally started to settle down over the weekend.. :)

Last Wed, Anousha started having fever.. gave her the paracetemol to bring the fever down.. the next day, she was still having fever and by the end of the day, it was at 38.2deg.. so on Fri morning (3rd day), when she was radiating heat as if i've just baked her, i asked Dearest to take urgent leave to take her to the docs..

A lot of things went thru my mind.. paranoia sets in coz i just watched "Rindu Raudhah" (based on a true story) on Wed am, about an 11yr old girl who was diagnosed with leukemia after a few days of having high fever.. if u've not followed my twitter earlier, u can guess that i cried the whole hour of the show lor.. :p So imagine my heightened paranoia when that high fever hit my daughter!...

So anyways, Dearest brought her to the polyclinic but got referred to KKH instead coz her fever was at a high of 39.2deg. They were there for the whole day juz coz she couldn't pee!.. and i can't believe she din pee from 11am lor!!... but the moment i open her pampers to bathe her, she pee-d!... i think she felt uncomfortable having a plastic thingie down there!.. hahahaha....

after all that drama, thank god it's juz another viral infection.. the doc believed it was some tummy virus but luckily she only had diarrhoea for a day.. her fever plummeted rite after the visit to the hospital!.. i think the "inserted" pill did wonders!!... Now, we've got plenty of supply of orange (stronger dosage) and pink "panadol" at home for future use.. ;)

I also dunno if it's coz she's sick the past few days but she slept more than usual.. hmmmm.... so another weekend came and gone without us going out anywhere! :( i certainly hope this wkend could be much better!!... :p

And because I was home the past 2 days, i have 2 new recipes to share actually.. one for the kids and one for the adults.. but will share with you guys soon enuff, yah... stay tuned.. ;)

NOT OVER...YET!
*surprise! surprise!* Eshan's now spotting all over!.. I don't need to go to the doctor to confirm it's chicken pox!.. just use Anousha's left over - can save the dollars from seeing the doc! :p

gaaaah... when is it going to be over?!. i've been "cooped up" at home the past 3 weekends!! :( i hope the parents will be home tml.. i wanna GO OUT and SHOP!!...

Anyways, this wkend is not so much of a worry.. it's the coming hari raya haji.. how eh??.. dun think we should go out visiting but very kesian rite?.. the boy has to be left behind??.. aiyaya.... why din the pox come out when he's having hfmd last week?!.... this is super frustrating!!

I'M INFECTED..
I'm officially infected with HFMD!.. this is sooo embarrassing.. to be taking long MC on my first month of work!.. gaaaah!... '

according to the doc, it's very rare in adults coz our immune system should be able fight off the virus (well, my immune system has been pretty weak after delivering 2 kids!) and that i'm only his 2nd case.. but as far as i know, i'm the 3rd case of adults i know infected with HFMD..

luckily, mine is mild.. my mouth has ulcers and i've got blisters on my fingers and toes.. bleagh!!... can't talk or eat properly but at least i can still eat lah.. oh!.. and the parents dunno coz they'll freak out and not let me near Anousha!.. :p

and i can't afford that to happen coz i terribly miss her oredi.. we've brought her home yesterday and the 2 kids were extremely happy to be reunited!.. hahahaa.. soooo heart-warming.. ;) I figured since i'm not salivating (aka drooling like Eshan did) and will swear off sharing my food with her, hopefully she'll not be infected!... *fingers crossed!* for all you know she may have hfmd - mixed in with the poxes, one will never know.. hahahahaa... :p

caught up on my lack of sleep the past weeks and slept for half the day today!!... refreshed!!.. now off to pick up the kids.. cheerios!!

PAINFUL..
Took half day leave yest to take care of Eshan.. and it's confirm that he's got HFMD. There were no spots looking like chicken pox anywhere on his body. Even the HFMD rashes were no where in sight on his hands/feet. but i saw them appearing in the evening.. apalah nasib.. one got Chicken pox.. while the other has HFMD!

it's soooo, sooooo heart-wrenching to see him cry out in pain.. and it must be damn excruciating coz when it gets unbearable, he'll ask for the medicine (which he hate!).. i had to put on a brave front for him but crumbled when he sleeps.. :( i would trade my life to be in his shoes and spare him the pain.. really. And the blardy rashes keep coming up coz from being at his tongue and cheeks, it accumulated to the back of his mouth and lips.. he asked for food but he can't eat them coz it's too painful to chew and swallow..

god forbid this to happen to Anousha or to any other kids.. i still remembered an ex-colleague comment when SHE had chicken pox "feels like a thousand razor blades scratching the throat/mouth".. thousand ouches!!... if she, an adult felt tat way, wat more a kid? so, pls dear parents.. exercise social responsibility pls.. be hygienic and keep your sick child away from public till he/she is fully recovered, can??...

and bcoz i dun want this to spread to Anousha, i had to make a stern stand to separate both siblings.. so, she was at mummy's the whole day yest w/o seeing us.. poor thing.. i could only make it to mummy's at abt 11-ish pm coz it was sch-day for Dearest.. had to wait for him to come back, wash up and all before i can leave.. apparently, Anousha was up till 10.30ish; waiting for me coz she kept calling for "ma" and "abang".. ev'time they say mama's home, she would go to the door to look out for me.. haiizzzz... it's making me tear juz imagining her face now..

Only God knows what they're going thru and i pray with all my might for..

..Eshan to recover real soon and be his normal self..

..Anousha to be able to play with her brother and join us at home..

..Both me and Dearest to have the strength and immunity to go through this and not be sick while caring for them..

TAKING TURNS..
So.. after twittering abt Eshan showing no signs of spotting, he returned home last nite with a fever!.. kwang.. kwang.. kwang..

It's prolly his turn next.. I also just read cuzz msg on FB to tell me that she's recovering from another round of chix pox even though she's gotten a full-blown one as a child!... aisey!!... how like tat?!...

both me and Dearest have gotten our fair share of pox as a child.. as with my readings, if it happens again during our adulthood, it's shingles and as contagious!... my main worry is i dun want to be scarred lor!.. :( damn it!!...

anyways, Anousha's not scratching.. thank god!.. she only seemed to be scratching her head.. but i dun see much pox on her head.. but she refuses to let me apply the lotion on her.. i have to apply it on her while she's sleeping.. her face is also a no-go.. coz she'll wake up when she feels the lotion on her face.. haaaiizzz....

but like they say, let them get it now.. the scars would be gone faster and we dun have to worry abt them getting it later when they're having PSLE or Os.. hmmmm....

SPOTS! SPOTS! SPOTS!
my Dearest Anousha is having chicken pox.. it was highly suspicious yesterday.. and today, i confirm it IS the chicken pox..

it has sprouted at more places.. my only hope is for her not to have it in her mouth or anywhere "down there"... it'll be horrible!!... she's not scratching (yet!).. and i hope she'll NOT scratch... based on an experienced mother (thanks mama Ros!), to avoid foods like kicap, prawns, chicken (oh! no!!), coconut drink.. some kids will also react to egg.. aisey!!...

now, i'm worried Eshan will geddit.. it's inevitable.. i know.. but i'm sooooo not looking forward to taking care of 2 sick, possibly scratchy kids ALONE over the weekend lor!... :(

we're also wondering where she cld have gotten it from coz we've not sent her to sch since tues.. and the sch only has hfmd cases so far.. i did tell the tchr abt her and she seemed shocked.. haiizzz... suay lah.. wat to do??... i think if Eshan has it, he'll freak out seeing the spots on his face, hands and legs.. i'm juz worried that it will affect the condition of his eczema..

based on readings on the net, chicken pox in infants are milder.. so i'm really hoping that's true.. get well soon sweetie pie!!... Muaaacckksss!!!...

INFECTION
I've got a stupid infection on my left eye... i think it's coz of my mascara... grrrr..... gotta throw it away! :(

i've got a wedding to attend to tml but i've got to put on the ointment 3x a day! tat'll mean, i can't "glam up" for the wedding!!!!!.... double grrr....

my eye feels like it got punched but it looks like i cried (one-sided) for the whole nite! and to think it wasn't like this, this morning!... i'm also trying all my might not to scratch my eyes out!

btw, "Don't Forget the Lyrics" was soooo fun and the girl was damn funny lah!... she can't freakin sing but she sure as hell lurrrve to!... hahahhaa... would lurrrve to join the local version but i'm damn sure i'll juz forget the lyrics once it's not there!... hahhaha...

POO-H!...
Thank god for make-up!... i'm able to conceal my dark circles and very dull complexion this morning!... i was out of action the past 4 and a quarter days!... i was called up on wed pm by the maid to come home coz Eshan was having a fever and crying non-stop!...

on the way home, i told her to put the fever patch on.. by the time i reached home, his fever somewhat subsided but the back of his neck, palms and feet were HOT!!... so i monitored and at nite time, his temp was officially within the normal range. But not convinced, i had to take a day off to monitor him further juz in case!...

the next day at 12nn, he pooed - sooooo much poo in that teensy weensy diapers of his!... but he was OK the rest of the pm... not cranky watsover!... but come evening, he started poo-ing every 3-4 hrs... on Fri morning, i woke up to go to work and Eshan woke up the same time and POOed on our bed!!... :( haiz.. imagine the rude morning shock we had!... sent him straight to the doc but was only given some powdery form to soothe his tummy ache!

on the way to the clinic..

all day fri and sat, he spilled poo on us!... poor boy.. his down there must be hurting and he's developed some sort of phobia with the bathroom coz everytime he poos, i bring him there to clean and he cries!...

now, everyone says his face has shrunk and he's not spotting that mini paus no more... :( but dun care lah.. as long as he's hydrated.. tat's all that matters... his mini paus can be developed over time... hahahha....

the only way to make him quiet is to switch on Barney!

oh!!.. and this morning, he pooed BIG TIME!!.. at 3am, he woke up with a muffle and i heard him poo-ing... later he cried.. and when i picked him up, there was poo all over his body!!... jialat lor!!... this is wat parents have to go thru for their babies!!...

so he's still poo-ing... i juz hope tat the poo-ing will stop soon and he's back to our smiley, lovable Eshan.. he's soooo cranky that he doesn't want anyone that he dun recognise anymore! :( i very the sedih tau!!....

STILL NOT SO FRESH..
I'm back in a still-not-so-fresh-self... still having a running nose though the leak is under control. but my voice has turned coarse though i dun think it sounds like one mak nyah like kak yani.. hehehe... ;)

i can't remember when i had a record high fever of 38.9 deg!... no wonder i was all cold and feverish on tues!.. i shouldn't have come to work.. or at least shld've taken half the day off!.. baaaah!!... very regretted.. but heck!.. cannot afford to lah..

oh!.. in the end i need not go to the mtg!.. baaaah!!... pasal tu mtg, i went to work!... thank god, we escaped from doing that project... though i must say that a part of me do want us to be in it!.. hehehe.. juz for the fun of it all! :D but anyways, good thing also lah.. i dun think the dept needs anymore distractions than it already has!...

last nite at abt 11.30pm, Eshan suddenly woke up and cried as if we've beaten him... my god!.. wat a shock i had!!... everything we did couldn't make him stop crying untill Daddy jampi him, then he quiet down... mummy tot that we must've been to "somewhere" (read: X-files) but in fact, we only went to kaki bukit followed by parkway parade and back home by 9pm!... i think he must've had ngigau (nitemare).. kesian tau!... the whole nite i heard him crying cum whimpering every few hours... but he seemed alrite this morning.. so hopefully, no similar episodes tonite!...

UNDER THE WEATHER...
i've suddenly caught a cold.. bleagh... i wanted to take MC today but thinking of that meeting to attend and waiting for my T-shirt to come, i decided to juz come in to work!... :(

on top of this, we were caught in the rain this morning!... we were soooo drenched!!... definitely not a good start to the day... perhaps i should take half day?... hmmm....

anyways, i'm crossing my fingers that my boss will not need to do this major project.. else, i'll be the first target to help in this major project the orgn is undertaking... but i'm still gg for the mtg anyways, juz in case... so from now till 12 later, i'll juz pray that i won't be caught in between... *gulp*.. but i must say, it will be an exciting event... hmmm... we'll see lah... for now, i'm juz not in the mood for any kind of work!

CAUGHT THE BUG..
haiyah!... must have caught this damn flu bug from my lil bub.... been sneezing away like nobody's business... i'm actually using a mask rite now... very the tak comfortable... but wattodoo?! if i can catch it from my 5mth old son, i think the others can get it from me... and i dun think we want ppl to be sick now coz it's one of our peak period moments... baaaah!!....

ooooh!!.. btw, Eshan can now roll himself... so far, only Dearest manage to catch him in action... according to Dearest, he had been rolling since Tuesday!.... chet!.... i only manage to see him roll after break fast yesterday!....

Yesterday was also the first day we went into geylang to "soak" in the barely-there raya atmosphere.. Eshan was alert and awake when we were walking along haig rd side of the road.. by the time we went to the singpost side of the road, he was looking droopy-eyed... and as we know our son, he will sleep in wateva position he is in as long as he gets his sleep!.. hahahaha....

the raya atmosphere was not there yet... and i dun seem to be enjoying it as much either!... :( the things were the same.. the kuih-muih were blardy expensive!!!..... i think i'll stick to DIY-ing my kuih!... and the kebaya fashion was the same as last year!... alamak!..... sungguh tak best!

i still wanna find another baju for myself this raya.. can't possibly have only 1 rite?... kata nak raya sakan this yr!.... hehehhee... been missing out on raya sakan-ing for the past few yrs... all thanks to Dearest's exams!... now that he's free from exams, we'll definitely go all out!.. hahahaha..... bleh??...

haaaa... another day in the life of me in this cold, cold office!.... haaaaa-chooooo!!!..... *sob!*

SLEEPY
I think i look like Garfield today - chubby with droopy eyes... bah!!..... Eshan was not so well last nite.. he's got running nose so i dun think he was able to breathe properly. poor thing.. when he awoke for his feed at 1am, he kept crying everytime his pacifier is out of his mouth.. and after all that crying, all he needed was juz to poo!...

anyways i'm wondering how on earth do we suck out the mucus on his nose without actually literally sucking it out ourselves??... *yucks!!* i can clean his shit with my bare hands but the tot of sucking out those mucus irks me lah.. we bought one of those lil things that claims to suck the mucus out, but either we dunno how to use it or it juz doesn't work!... sucky!....

so experienced mothers out there, plssss tell me how to do it??.... i hope he gets better today... need to do his jab tml so that even if he fall sick, i've got 2 full days to take care of him without taking my leave..

it feels weird going into the office today and not munch on something first thing in the morning! hahahaa.... i also learnt y i never lose weight during Ramadhan..

Do you know?
when the body is hungry it "sucks" in a lot more stuffs of the first food that enters into the body.. so, imagine... at azan time, the first thing u gobble down is a piece of fried chicken... hmmmm..... sooooo much fats goes into those fat cells in ur body lah dey!... tat is y, we're encouraged to eat dates first as it is very sweet; contains natural sugar. so i've decided that this year, i'll try to break my fast with a piece of fruit first - apples or pears - anything sweet lah since i dun really like dates...

howell... we'll see how in 1mth's time.. ;) btw, did anyone feel the tremors yest??... i heard there's another one this morning too!... i didn't get to feel both!... chet!... anyways, i heard it hit Jakarta.... thank god my parents are back from their trip...

HAPPENING WEEKEND..

My weekend started on Fri right up till Monday.. hence the lack of updates.. hehehe... i'm back to the office more fresh than previous weeks!.. so pls brace yourself for a pretty long entry.. hehee...

so anyways, Fri was not planned.. i got a bad eye infection on Thurs.. actually, my eyes were already feeling scratchy in the morning when i put on my lenses. but i ignored it - for vanity purposes - and got on to work.. by afternoon, it was already pretty red and it sure irritated the hell out of me!.. but i still tot that i could tahan the scratchy feeling and go to class!...

BIG MISTAKE!... in class, it got worst.. prolly coz of all the tenye-ing (touching and pushing of the eyeball when i put on the concealer and eye-shadow).. i kept tearing and smeared my make-up so i kept doing that tenye-ing to the eye somemore which made it worst - of course!....

at home, i inspected my eyes... Dearest did too and freaked himself out!.. he wanted to rush me to A&E rite there and then!.. like wat the hell for rite?!... he said he saw a white thingie near my eyes and worried that i'm another one of those "eye cases"... but i insisted that we should juz go to a night doctor and tat's how i got my long, unplanned weekend!... :)

in the morning, i got yet another surprise!!... Izy has given birth to her baby boy - Baby Rayyan - at 5am.. normal delivery. Al-hamdulillah... have yet to go and see her but being a proud mama to her babe, she MMS a pic of the babe!....

now, looking at this, i have no inkling as to who he resembles!... really. WHO eh??!.... can u tell??.... i freakin can't tell!... hahahaa.... howell... as they say, the babe's features will change.. we'll hopefully get to meet them sometime next week!... to Izy and Yat, CONGRATULATIONS on your first born!!.... insya-allah our boys will be able to keep each other company when we have our group gatherings eh.. heehehehehe..... ;)

Oh!.. and then, the parents dropped the bomb-shell!... we're not moving as yet!!.... :( Part 1 of the moving was supposed to be done on Sunday.. but nooooooo... apparently, the house is STILL NOT READY!... aaaarrrgghh!!.... punya bingit!!... but we're still made to pack our stuffs!.... *bummer!*

On Sat, we went to watch the BIG soccer match at the stadium... waaaah!.. really feel like the good ol' Malaysia Cup days... practically 80% of the stadium's donned in red.. it was also practically full house with the crowd very semangat doing the Kallang wave once we got a successful round of wave going round the stadium!...

as usual, wat's a football game without curses flying around rite?... i had to cover my tummy so my babe won't be able to hear that much-said word that the whole stadium screamed ev'time the horn is blared!... *yeah! as if it works!*... kwang.. kwang.. kwang... but i'm pretty sure the babe got juz as excited coz he kept kicking and "jumping" around inside everytime me or the crowd get excited!.. hahahaa...

we were seated where they had the penalty kick and BOY!... u can imagine our excitement when Lionel saved that last freakin ball!.... i totally forgot that i was pregnant and jumped and cheered like nobody's business!.. hahaha... luckily, nothing happened!... but i got backache the next morning!... :(

anyways, as if the surprises and excitement were NOT enuff, my cuzzin delivered her new-born at 7am on Sunday morning to her baby girl!!!..... not visited her yet... so no pictures... to An and Fahmi, CONGRATULATIONS to u both on the new-born!!.... insya-allah will come visit one day... she seemed healthy and happy in her sms.. so, i assume things went well with her delivery... :) al-hamdulillah..

Lastly, remember i said before that we went on a major shopping spree for the babe?... well, that shopping had finally arrived in a silver package with a golden ribbon!.... sooooo exciting!... in all the excitement of receiving this package, i totally forgot to take out the camera!... baaaah!... so, must wait lah hor?.... can't reveal the package as yet!.. hehehehe..... will do so in due time... ;)

how i wish my future weekends would be as happening as this one!... now, back to work!... gaaaah!!!.....

SORE EYES?!
i can't help but whine!.. my eye irritated me the whole day today!...and come lunch, it started secreting yellow, slime-like thingie off my left eye!... so, i had to throw my lens out and now, i'm short to looking like a pirate!!....

one eye is totally useless and it is still irritating the hell out of me!... and it's still secreting that yellow, slime-like thingie!.... wtf!... we've cancelled plans to meet and greet Murni's new-born coz of the erratic rain that looked like it'll juz rain the whole day today..

to Ms Gems, apologies for cancelling today's plans - yet again!... i really do wonder when we'll meet up!... macam ada je tak kena!!.... to Mama Murni & Lan, CONGRATS on the second bundle of joy!!.... will see u and the babe pretty soon - when the weather, time and situation permits, yah.... insya-allah...

i'm also wondering if Yati have given birth yet??.... she should have by now... hmmmm..... but niways, CONGRATS to Yati and Darlie too.. for their first bundle of joy!!.... may you both enjoy parenthood and the joy a child gives to the family.. :)

SICK... :(
urrrggh!!.... i'm down with flu again!!... but i think with a bit of fever too... coz my whole body ached like crazy and i got bouts of that simpul biawak throughout the nite on thurs nite!..... i've concluded it must be Naz!!!..... hehehe....

anyways, we went to see the gynae lah for MC and check on the babe.. and boy!.. it'd weighed 832g oredi!... he's making good progress.. doc said he's at an avg weight.. so oklah... we won't be expecting a chubby babe!... it'll prolly grow up like the Daddy... but hopefully, won't be such a fitness freak!!.... kwang.. kwang.. kwang... mampos aku!....

NO 3D scan again!... babe dun want us to see his features juz yet...malu ke?!.... alamak!!.... the doc said he was in the position oredi juz a few seconds ago!... he turned his head when the scanner was put on!.... but apparently, the babe was sleepy coz he yawned!!!.... Dearest got to see it and he is still taunting me and i'm still sore i didn't see him yawn!... urrrrgghh!!..... bacin sungguh!!... but anyways babe, dun worry... take ur time, i know - u want us to have a better-looking scan of your features rite?... hahahhaa....

ooooh!... and i only put on 0.5kg the past month!.. how cool is that?!!.... i practically didn't put on any weight!... that 0.5kg is juz the babe's growth!... hehehhee..... aku happy!!!.... :D keep this up, and i won't go over the target set!!.... ;) YAAAHOOOOO!!!!

NITEMARE!
i had a nitemare last nite... i dreamt that i oredi dilated at 6mths or something.. then suddenly, the baby pooped out of my vagina and i bled badly!.... sadly, the baby didn't make it!... FREAAAAKKKYYY!!!!!........

Ya Allah!..... i do pray for a normal and safe delivery.... insya-allah....

oh!... another freakish thing - i'm beginning to hate my oily, huge nose!... it's freakin growing... it used to look like a parrot's beak.. then now, i dunno... it's juz bigger and uglier!... and by the time i reach work, it'll ooooze oil like nobody's business!..... :( so u can imagine how often it ooooze oil thruout the day! how sad is tat?!..... tat is in fact - a real nitemare!... baaaaahh!!!!......

oh!... and being sick in the first few days of new year is not a good thing!... i think i might be coming down with something!... must've caught it from naz!... urrrgh!.... my problematic nose not only is oozing oil, it's also oozing hingus!... :( sungguh menyedihkan!.... y OH y?!....

WHY DID I BOTHER???
urrrrgghh... i'm still sneezing after taking the panadol last nite... i tot it'd be alrite in the morning since i sweated buckets after popping the pill.. butttt noooo... i sneezed the first thing in the morning!... :'(

y the hell did i bother turning up for work today?!... gaaaahh!!!..... feeling shitty and disorientated... oh!.. not forgeting my wisdom tooth pain decide to come bacK!!... aaaggghhh!!!..... my left gum feeling as if someone's hammered me overnite and now, it's left that side of my face feeling numb but throbbing with pain... :(

btw, i forgot to mention yesterday that i dreamt of my lil' babe.... very cute!!.. round eyes, chubby cheeks and smiley!... :) butttt with straight hair!!!..... waaahhahaha... how can that be kan?!.... but i was pretty sure it's ours!...

hmmm.. tat image sure has put a smile to my face now... i think i should juz keep that image in mind so that i dun feel sooooo lousy... dam.. dee.. dam.... ;)
